Doing the Work

This week we are shaking up our #LeadLAP chat with a very special guest panel on Zoom. We are highlighting the work of four of our PLN members, VaShawn Smith, Jill Siler, Vernon Wright and Jay Billy. They have each been an intricate part of our leading by learning series focusing on Antiracism and equity in education. As our panelists share on Zoom, we will simultaneously run our weekly Twitter chat with opportunities for reflections from those watching. This will not be the traditional question or topic and answer, but more of a free flowing, organic conversation on the following subjects:

  • Building capacity within yourself and others
  • Specific actions that have been taken
  • Setbacks or obstacles that may have arisen and how you’ve handled them
  • Navigating resistance and having hard and uncomfortable conversations
  • Maintaining and expanding relationships as you do this work

We will be sharing the link before we get started at 9:30am CT on the #LeadLAP hashtag on Twitter. We would be honored to have you join us! Thank you for your continued dedication to the work of Antiracism and equity to best serve our students, staff and families!
